Lacy plays flute and piccolo with Starlight, a regional community orchestra for the Central Texas community. Its members come from Wimberley, Austin, San Marcos, Dripping Springs and many other nearby towns, and each season brings fall, holiday, spring (Young Artist) and pops concerts.
Lacy plays flute and piccolo with HCCB, and also serves as the band’s music librarian and webmaster. It is an all-volunteer wind band based in Hays County, formed in 1990 as the Wimberley Community Band. Its players are amateur and professional, and they share one thing in common: they love band.
Lacy founded this Wimberley, TX chamber ensemble, which began as just two flutes. Today it is flutes, alto flute, violins and oboe, and the group brings live music to non-profits, weddings, ceremonies and skilled nursing facilities.
Lacy has made music with some wonderful ensembles across Texas. Here are the groups she would happily play with again, and the ones where her career began.
