About Lacy
Lacy Reid is a dedicated flutist, piccolo specialist, and music educator with over 30 years of performance and teaching experience across Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.
A passionate advocate for music literacy and performer confidence, Lacy believes every musician can find their voice—whether they're just beginning or refining their artistry. She often jokes that the piccolo is her spirit animal, though the flute remains her steadfast mainstay.
Lacy currently performs with the Starlight Symphony Orchestra and the Hill Country Community Band. She is also the founder of Flutes and Friends, a charming chamber ensemble based in Wimberley, Texas, that brings live music to non-profits, weddings, ceremonies, and skilled nursing facilities throughout the region.
Warm, encouraging, and deeply committed to her community, Lacy continues to inspire students and audiences alike through both her teaching and her performances.
Off the stage: meet Piccolo
Meet Piccolo, Lacy’s pup. Small, mighty and impossible to overlook, she shares her name with the highest voice in the orchestra, and carries the title with style, cap and all.
Beautiful Wimberley skies
